PSA For all Aspiring Gemsona Creators

This is a public service announcement for all Steven Universe fans looking to create gem characters. Pay close attention.
Before you create your character, verify that the gem you have selected is actually a real gem that exists. This will not only more than likely lead you to either discovering very unique gems to use in your design but may improve upon an existing design for a character. This verification can be a bit tricky, but I have prepared a short list of sources with collections of some "gems" that aren't actually gems at all, or are misnamed gems to help you.

These sources will help you check if a common gem with a prefix to its name is actually that gem, or is just something else.

This source has a lot of comparisons and detailed information. It can be really helpful for less common gemstones that may be harder to verify and can even give you ideas on similar, natural gemstones to use in your designs! For extra information, you can even check the comments.
Also, quick side note, if the gem you found links back to Etsy or eBay, always, always verify it. These websites have a habit of being full of fake gemstones that are usually just glass.

I am officially on summer holidays now! This means I am off school for 2 months. Sadly, I cannot think of anything to draw. So...
Starting today, I am taking requests!

Hey guys, girls and nonbinary folks!
So, I'm making plans to turn this into more of a traditional art profile than a digital art profile. This is so that:
a) My art is more reflective of what I do right now.
b) I have some more variety in my gallery.
c) I can post more quickies, since a fast traditional drawing is faster to make than a fast digital drawing for me.
Right now, I'm just making plans to get a few little bits and bobs like better watercolours and a white gel pen, but as soon as that's sorted I'll be back in the game! I can actually take pictures of traditional art now, so as soon as I have some more materials I'm all set.
I'm sorry that it's taken so long to post something.
I can't wait to share some newer pieces with you all.

Does anyone have good suggestions for taking a photo of a piece of art and not having it come out blurry? I really want to upload some traditional art.
